Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color
I bought this TV back in July of 2008 for 00. I have to say that this TV has proven to be a great product that has kept pace with the 2010 LCD models. Other than the new 2 inch LED models coming out this TV has a great picture quality whem combined with a good HD source (PS3, HD Set-top-box). Obviously this model has been replaced by the 750 and even the LN52B650 but when doing a side by side comparison the picture appears just as good. Samsung has released new features to the newer models but most of them are either marketing gimmicks are can be done with external hardware like a PS3. My only issue with this TV was the speakers, prior to setting up my receiver/5.1 setup the audio was very weak. I felt I had to set the audio to 60+ (TV was in a large open room), this is a minor issue as I would imagine most people purchasing a TV of this price have matched it up with at least a HT in a box.

    Touch of Color

Touch of Color Samsung’s Series 6 marks the first appearance of TOC (Touch of Color) design in the 2008 LCD HDTV line-up. Inspired by designs from the automotive and fashion industries, Samsung’s unique unique Transparent and Opaque Color molding process creates a clean, smooth finish infused with a hint of a translucent color during the manufacturing process for an ultra-sleek appearance.

    InfoLink

Touch of Color Up-to-the-minute access to weather, news, sports and stock information is just a cable and a click away through the HDTV’s Ethernet port and new InfoLink RSS service. An all-new user interface with digital contents management guide provides intuitive navigation and access to both internal and external content.

    Auto Motion Plus 120Hz

auto motion plus 120Hz This technology doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 frames per second (120Hz LCD panel) without repeating the same image to make more frames. Instead, the TV intelligently calculates the ‘middle’ image between frame A and frame B and inserts it in between (Auto Motion Plus 120Hz processor), making a fluid transition from one frame to the next. automotion graph

    Super Clear Panel

    super clear panel

Samsung enhances the clarity of select LCD HDTVs by replacing the light-diffusing plastic face of traditional LCD HDTVs with a  natural black panel with a clear anti-glare shield. Reduced reflection of external light creates a new dimension in image clarity, highlighting black and darkened areas, enabling vibrant, more compelling colors and a brighter, clearer picture.  Black will never again appear grayish. Black details will show in vivid black even in dark scenes.

The latest version of Samsung’s breakthrough super clear panel technology makes colors appear more vibrant and blacks even deeper than ever. Enhanced films reduce glare and optimize off-angle viewing.

50,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio/500 nit Brightness

25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio 50,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio will give you a picture better than you ever thought possible, with whiter whites, blacker blacks and a nearly infinite subtlety of gradations in between. As two of the most important determining factors in overall picture quality, contrast and brightness levels achieve new heights in this latest generation LCD panel. Samsung’s new LCD TV’s give the most stunning realistic picture quality ever.

    Full HD 1080P

full HD 1080P Full HD, or 1080p, contains 1.5 times more scanning lines than conventional HD TVs. More scanning lines mean more pixels, more details and a better picture. The new Samsung LCD TV with resolution that is approximately 2 times greater than conventional HDTVs, creating the most perfect picture imaginable.

Samsung’s 1080p panel uses a new high-speed liquid crystal to cut response time to 4ms. The fast response time, coupled with Samsung’s Auto Motion Plus 120Hz motion blur reduction technology dramatically reduces motion blur and judder.

Wide Color Enhancer/Cold Cathode Flourescent Lamp

The NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) has established the color standards all TVs in America try to meet. And typical LCD TVs only meet about 72% of this standard. Samsung LCD HDTVs use Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp backlights to give you 92% coverage of the NTSC standard, ensuring truer, more breathlessly vivid colors.

Samsung’s exclusive Wide Color Enhancer technology delivers more brilliant colors, even in bright areas of the picture where blues and greens are washed out on conventional screens. The system displays wider color reproduction, showing you truer colors – the fresh green of spring foliage, the intense blue of the summer sky.

A wide variety of multimedia devices can be connected to the set through any one of the four Simplay compliant HDMI 1.3 inputs (including one on the side), and the handy HDMICEC feature lets you control all your CEC-enabled peripherals using just one remote.

Connect HD digital devices like disc players, game consoles, and satellite dish components into the 2 rear connections and use the side-mounted input for cameras, camcorders, and laptops. HDMI is the best performing interface for displaying an HD source on an HDTV.

Once connected, users can easily access device menus and manage and display content through the newly redesigned Wheel Key Remote control and the HDTV’s sophisticated content management interface.

    Audio Features

TruSurround is a patented SRS technology that solves the problem of playing 5.1 multichannel content over two speakers. TruSurround delivers a compelling, virtual surround sound experience through any two-speaker playback system, including internal television speakers and headphones. It is fully compatible with all multichannel formats up to 5.1 channels. High-quality virtual surround sound can be experienced with just the two hidden, downward-firing side-mounted 2.2-channel dome speakers built into the TV.

SRS TruSurround XT technology delivers an amazing, simulated 3D effect with clear dialog and powerful bass.

TruSurround XT audio also adds three audio enhancement technologies to produce an amazingly immersive sound experience.

    • Dialog Clarity brings movie dialog into Focus during the playback of any surround-encoded material to make speech much clearer and crisper.
    • TruBass creates incredible deep rich bass allowing a person to perceive significantly deeper, richer low bass tones that are far beyond the physical low frequency capabilities of the speaker itself.
    • The SRS WOW feature widens the soundstage by processing standard two-channel stereo material as well as multi-channel encoded material for a dramatic improvement in the playback of any stereo audio over a two-speaker system.

Stereo broadcast reception is offered for MTS and SAP with 181-channel capacity. A sound leveler keeps audio volume consistent during channel changing.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

      • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3

What is the best flat screen LCD HD TV to buy for the money?

        Image : http://www.flickr.com

Do not Give Up on tubes … emerging markets today with flat screen TVs, like plasma and LCD TVs, most consumers are very poorly informed and convinced that the quality of a flat screen is better than a cathode ray tube (CRT) TV. This is not true. The quality of a plasma TV or LCD for much less than a CRT, such as the Sony KD-34XBR970. People, even worse, they increasingly are buying flat screen TV as a symbol of status and do not understand true quality. Why do you think that studies the use CRTcontrolled during production and processing, rather than a plasma TV? Most studios want the best, most accurate picture possible, so that they are using CRT monitors. The quality of the Sony KD-34XBR970 is like a studio monitor, and beats all other shows regardless of cost. The dot pitch is so beautiful and the picture is so much realism to the point where all the ads in other dull and dirty in comparison. Convergence and the geometry is out of the box perfectly, and the crowd was fantastic. Her imagehad depth and dimension, in contrast with the flat look of most plasma and LCD TV. HD channels do best are very real and not unduly increased. Sony board processing and the Democratic Republic of Congo is perfect and does not look at pixels at all sources. The image is good, clear, and exceptional detail.

One limitation to remember: The sentence will be deployed in 'Vivid', which is intended for your attention in shops with a picture light, but inaccurate delivered. It 'too bright and toosharp. You can see the contours and image artifacts in this mode. If you keep the TV in Vivid mode, you are guaranteed to burn the tubes in the shortest possible time and shorten the duration of the TV. Also, the speakerphone mode is very accurate in color reproduction. I calibrated my set-mode 'movie', white with an image (level) setting of 20/63 and a brightness (black level) setting of 30/63. Remember, it is very important for the image "" a lower setting, because the amount of white light for the controlsScreen. If you do this, the tube takes a very long and there will be an extraordinary picture. On the other hand, controls the brightness "" The amount of dark areas you see in the picture. If you use this device allows you to see the darker areas in a film that does not burn, but the pipes or compromising image quality. A clear picture is better than a light.

Finally, adjust the color decoder, as manifested in a strong and red makes men see red or brown. IfThe axis of "color" setting "on" Default "monitor", the colors are much more accurate and vivid. If this setting is set correctly and make good, it's the best image of a TV production and take a very long time. (My old XBR TV is 16 years old and over.) I have a neighbor who has spent $ 10,000 on a plasma TV and the picture quality much worse than this series. What kind of TV would you buy? Status symbol is more important than image quality? I rememberafter reading this review, there are a very educated consumer.

        Sanyo Digital Camera Problems

        Image : http://www.flickr.com

One problem is the battery of the Sanyo digital camera. This seems to be a problem with all digital cameras, no matter who the producer, because you follow the instructions for the battery is low and recharge. When the Sanyo digital camera is a lithium-ion battery, you must follow the instructions that are included in the instruction manual. You must use the battery for the first time and fully discharge the battery before recharging. If you do not follow this cycle, the batterywear quickly and do not hold a full charge. This is a common problem for many users.

Do not follow the guidelines for the battery, and concludes with a new battery or buy back less than twenty photos and then the battery. This problem is widespread and you have already done most of the users that have been addressed in the manual, so I think the battery is not working properly. It 'very important to follow all the instructions for a digital camera, soperformance and have no problems, Sanyo digital camera. There are some problems with the image quality for a handful of cameras from Sanyo.

The problems with the Sanyo camera is not very significant, because only a few digital cameras are the product of having warm. The image quality could be a mistake, rather than for the cameras, have boundaries, where other cameras do not. You have the cameras before deciding which is the best thing you need to compare. If you are takingprofessional photos or want to be, you want to look for a digital SLR camera or the like. It may be useful to all brands before deciding which camera is the best and give you clear, sharp images of the work.
